I love nothing more than relaxing with a good tech podcast, but there are so many out there that finding the best and most useful podcasts can be difficult. Luckily for you, we’ve narrowed down the list so that we can tell you about what we think are the 10 best tech podcasts of 2015.
1. TWiT (This Week in Tech)
This Week in Tech, often shortened to TWiT, was the brainchild of Leo Laporte. It airs live every Sunday evening and is in a roundtable format where Leo and his guests discuss the biggest tech news and headlines from the past week. Notable guests have included Kevin Rose, Steve Wozniak and John C. Dvorak.
2. The Vergecast
The Vergecast is the podcast from the guys over at The Verge. They discuss technology and pop culture in a fun and energetic way which makes this podcast a real hit if it’s tech and entertainment you are looking for.
Hak5 is the best podcast around for those interested in hacking. They look at network security, DIY modding and the homebrew scene.
4. Wired.co.uk Podcast
Wired.co.uk Podcast is fantastic for covering breaking tech news stories and tech discussion. Each episode is only around half an hour long which makes it perfect for listening to on short journeys.
5. Let’s Talk About Tech
Let’s Talk About Tech is a podcast from BBC 5 Live that covers both technology and gaming. The podcasts are weekly and last for around 50 minutes. As with most news related content from the BBC it can sometimes be presented quite formally, but it’s still a really enjoyable listen.
6. The Tech Guy Podcast
The Tech Guy Podcast, hosted by Leo Laporte, is a phone-in tech show where normal people call up and ask their tech related questions. Leo is extremely knowledgeable about technology so even if a simple question is asked you are likely to learn something new.
7. The Engadget Podcast
The Engadget Podcast is an hour long tech podcast that mainly features discussions on hand-held gadgets, so if that’s your bag then get listening!
8. Security Now
Security Now is another tech podcast by Leo Laporte which also features security expert Steve Gibson. If you’re interested in security, hacking or how things like certificates or HTTP work, then this is the podcast you need.
GeekBeat.tv is one of the more underrated podcasts in this list. The hosts cover the hottest tech stories and mix in tips and tricks – fantastic!
10. This Week In Google
This Week In Google is another podcast from Leo Laporte’s TWiT network. Initially the podcast focussed on Google (although you probably guessed that already), but these days it also mixes in a lot of social media news that’s worth listening to.
