Do you want to find your computer spec from within Linux, such as information on your CPU, RAM or hard drives? Well, it’s easier than you’d think.

On Windows and OSX you will find this information to be fairly easily available, which it is with Linux too, all you need is a little bit of know-how (and the Terminal).

1. Log into your Linux distribution.

2. Launch the Terminal.

3. Type sudo lshw into the terminal command line and press Enter on your keyboard.

4. You will then need to enter your root password to be able to view the spec of your machine, which will be displayed after pressing Enter.
